This is an interactive lesson designed for Intro to Art students learning about art history through the real life Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum theft.
Although based on case facts from the real life Gardner Museum heist, the case portrayed on this website is partially fictionalized in order to create a case that examines multiple areas of art history. Each art work portrayed as stolen, although each is a work of art that has been stolen from its owner at some point, was not neccessarily stolen from the ISG Museum in the notorious case.
Designed by Ms. Ridlen after lots of research and investigation into the people, places, artworks, and facts involved in the case. For questions or comments, please email her using the form below.
